My 21st Birthday in Japan

もうすぐプログラムが終わってしまうので、大変寂しく思いますが、そのような思い出を絶対に忘れません!I had the privilege of celebrating my 21st birthday here in Japan during my study abroad experience. What a treat! I got to spend some quality eating time with some awesome new friends I have made. I will sincerely miss them all as this program is coming to a close, but moments like these I will never forget.

We went out for some shabu shabu and drinks for dinner. It was all you can eat and drink for about $30. Just writing about it now makes me super hungry so I think I’m going to treat myself to shabu shabu one more time while I’m here in Japan. The alcohol was a bit stronger than I’m used to and also a larger glass, but nothing bad happened so that’s good.

My friends surprised me with a birthday cake with a chocolate that said my name on it. I felt super loved and I want to give a special thanks to my e-pal. I love my e-pal a lot and am sad that we can’t go to the same school throughout the whole year, but I will probably come back to Japan soon so I can see everyone again!

Thanks to everyone who wrote on my wall on Facebook or messaged me personally. I am not the best at keeping in touch with everyone on a day-to-day basis, but I appreciate each and every one of you as God’s unique creation. Hopefully I will have many new adventures as a 21-year-old!
